  • Walk around the Montmartre area

    • Really fun to walk around and see the artists painting

  • Eat lunch on the steps in front of the Basilique du Sacre Coeur Montmartre

    • We grabbed a crepe to-go from a restaurant for lunch and took it the steps

    • There are amazing views of Paris

    • Walked down the steps in front of the Basilica

  • Moulin Rouge-we walked past and took pictures

  • Took the metro to The Trocadéro for views of the Eiffel Tower

  • Walked across the river for a boat cruise (The river was flooded when we were there so the river cruises were not running, but they have river cruise companies along the river you can book day of, or you can book in advance.)

  • Shopped at the Champs Elysees

    • there are lots of options for places to eat, but we opted for an easy dinner and grabbed a baguette sandwich from Paul for dinner

    • Drove to our hotel near Mont Saint Michel

Day 5: Mont Saint-Michel

  • Get here early!

  • You don’t need a ticket to visit the village and walk around the shops, but you pay for parking. If you want to go inside the Abbey you will need a ticket

  • Book in Advance: Mont Saint-Michel Abbey

  • We got to Mont Saint-Michel at 8:30 am and we were some of the first people in the parking lot (we were there during low season in February. If you are there during peak season I would suggest arriving earlier if you want time wandering the streets without crowds. Please note that shops may not be open yet.)

    • You can walk to Mont Saint-Michel from the parking lot or take a free shuttle

    • The streets are narrow and it gets very busy! We enjoyed our morning into early afternoon there. We grabbed lunch and found a place to eat off the main streets and then headed out when the crowds got heavier around 1:30.

    • Make sure to take some time to walk off the main streets up through the less touristy parts of the village

  • Drove an hour from Mont Saint-Michel to Fougères

    • Visited Château de Fougères

      • We happened upon this Castle on our way back towards Paris and since we had plenty of time we decided to stop

      • Price: €12

      • Included an audio guide

      • With 1000 years of history it was fun to walk around the ruins of this castle

      • We spent 2 hours here

  • Stopped at a grocery store to stock up on French candy and treats and then continued back to Paris

  • Stayed the night in Montévrain Moxy Hotel near Disneyland Paris so we were one metro stop away from the parks

    • There are a lot of deals that include a bundle price for Disneyland Tickets and hotels. We just did things seperately, but it is worth looking into especially during off season when they are running great deals and discounts!

Day 6: Disneyland Paris
